Microsoft | Ticket to Tokyo

In the height of the pandemic, the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo didn't allow spectators or international visitors, so Microsoft wanted to bring the Olympic experience to fans who couldn't attend. I devised a unique, two-director production approach to take superfans on a tour of Tokyo through Microsoft Teams. The remote director and production unit focused on capturing 18 superfans joining from around the world, while the Tokyo director and production unit filmed the tour guides and sights of the city.

Originally intended as a single :60 to run only once, nearly a dozen unique cuts were placed during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and throughout the games.
